If you’ve ever encountered the error message when start your XAMPP Control Panel “MySQL shutdown unexpectedly.” you know how frustrating it can be to troubleshoot. Fortunately, there are several steps you can take to identify and fix the issue. I am showing you a easy step that you can fix this issues easily.
Go to your XAMPP root folder. You can find out this folder on your C Drive.
Now go to mysql folder and rename existing data folder to data_old and create a new data folder
Go to backup folder top of this and copy all of file & folder from it. Paste all file & folder into new created data folder.
Now copy your old database folder + ibdata1 file from old_data folder into your new data folder. If the dialog showing the folder already exist, click on replace button. The ibdata1 is really important to copy into new data folder to get back your all previous database. No need to copy mysql, perfomance_schema, phpmyadmin, and test folder. Please avoid to copy all of this folder.
Everything is done. Now just click start button again of your XAMMP MySQL.
